Dr. Koch is supported by a professional staff that is specifically trained to care for plastic and reconstructive surgery patients. Each year, our team prepares for and performs hundreds of facial surgeries treating conditions relating to appearance, accident or disease. Our priority is exemplary patient care from the very first phone call to our Des Moines, Iowa plastic surgery practice. Tricia Thinnes - Chief Operating Officer
At the helm of our dynamic crew is our office manager, Tricia. She is the glue that holds all of the pieces together while working with each staff member to improve the efficiency and flow of our busy practice. It's not uncommon to one minute find her sorting out a complex computer issue and the next facilitating acknowledgment of a job well done. Tricia's style is warm and versatile and she thrives on making us better. When not juggling demands at the office, she stays busy at home with her husband, two daughters and beautiful rescued greyhounds.
Jan Reynolds - Patient Care Coordinator
As our Patient Care Coordinator, Jan's name should be Jack – as in Jack of all trades! When considering surgery, she'll be the one who will schedule your surgery date, answer all your financial questions, work with your insurance on prior authorizations, coordinate with the surgery centers, assemble and send your informational packet and make it all look effortless while she's doing it! When she's at home, her evenings are often spent with her husband and five grandchildren who think she's equally amazing.
Deb Stearns - Administrative Assistant
Deb is one of the first faces to welcome you when you arrive at Koch Facial Plastic Surgery & Spa. She has graced the front desk of our practice for over 8 years and brings to our reception area an enthusiasm that our patients appreciate and enjoy. Deb is eager to help you feel at ease in our office and put all the information you need right in your hands. When not taking care of her two four-legged friends at home, Deb is happy to show off pictures of her adorable granddaughter, Kinsley.
Sue Grandquist - Administrative Assistant
Sue is our newest staff member but she has years of experience in health care as an L.P.N. Sue may also be the last smiling face you see during a visit to our office. She helps check out and reschedule patients with new appointments. She also works closely with the aestheticians in our Spa and can answer questions regarding skin care products and spa treatments. When she's not at work, you can usually find her and her husband on a football field or baseball diamond cheering on her 10 year old son.
Sally Irving - Medical Assistant
'Sweet' is the perfect word to describe Sally. Sally transitioned this year from our Concierge to our Medical Assistant and is loving every minute of it! Sally's talent is helping people so she'll be the one who will bring you back to an exam room, assist Pam and Dr. Koch during procedures, and puts you at ease if you're even a little nervous – and always with a bright smile on her face. At home, Sally spends time with her husband and puppy as well as 'Skyping' her grandsons!
Daphne Christensen - Marketing Director
Daphne has been involved in the aesthetics industry for many years and leads our marketing and business development efforts. While working quietly behind the scenes, her marketing expertise creates a big impact when sending out patient e-mails, birthday and Christmas cards. Although patients may not know her, they see her work often in the ads she creates letting everyone know about our wonderful practice. When not chasing around her two sons, she's often training for a fitness competition.
Maren Mooney - CPRC
As Billing Manager, Maren has a job that, well, only Maren could love! Thank goodness she does love it and does it so well. Maren spends much of her time behind the scenes working with all the different insurance companies and with patients regarding their accounts. We're not quite sure when all this magic happens since her toddler son and infant daughter keep her plenty busy....but somehow, the magic happens!
Dawn Cochran - Registered Nurse
Dawn is our nurse. You will see her smiling face at most every visit from an initial consultation to a post-surgical exam and everything in between. You'll also see those reassuring eyes during surgical procedures as she assists Dr. Koch in the operating room. She'll coach you through the process, answer any question you may have, and walk you through the experience from start to finish. Dawn's latest accomplishment? Starting and finishing the Chicago Marathon on a beautiful fall afternoon. Dr. Koch recently performed facelift and eyelid surgery for Dawn which makes her uniquely qualified to relay her first hand experiences of her surgery and recovery to you.
Robyn Jennett - Clinical Aesthetician
Robyn is a clinical aesthetician. She has been in the industry since 2003. One of Robyn's favorite spa services for her clients and herself are chemical peels. "You get the most correction in the least amount of time," Robyn affirms. Robyn has a deep appreciation for, and knowledge of, the pre- and post-surgery needs of the skin. She understands how to best prepare skin for surgery and how to successfully maintain post-procedure results. When she's not at work, Robyn is more than likely spending time with her husband, Cole, and her two sons, Rush and Liam. Robyn's beauty secret? "Ask a lot of questions; know how and why the products you use, and the treatments you receive, work. Knowledge is beautiful."
