About Dermal Fillers
These fillers are different from BOTOX Cosmetic in that they add volume to the skin to improve the appearance of laxity, lines and wrinkles. Injectable dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM or RADIESSE are an excellent option for:
Injectable fillers are a temporary solution for these concerns, therefore the best candidates have realistic goals and expectations.
JUVÉDERM is an injectable filler which can improve the appearance of deep facial wrinkles, folds, lines, and acne scars, enhance the lips, and contour facial features like the chin and cheeks. JUVÉDERMis made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in all species which is highly attracted to water and has the ability to bind to it. The results are very natural and long-lasting, with the effect remaining for six months or longer.
RADIESSE is also an injectable filler which can be used to fill in deeper lines and wrinkles and reshape the facial contours. RADIESSE can improve the appearance of a variety of wrinkles, including nasolabial folds and marionette lines, and it can augment the cheeks, chin, and jaw line. This is a unique injectable in that it stimulates collagen growth, providing an initial plumping along with extended correction for one to two years as the new tissue regenerates.
Dermal Filler Procedures
To begin your injectable procedure, Dr. Koch will consult with you to ensure that you will achieve the natural looking results you want. Depending on the areas being treated, dermal fillerinjections typically take 15 to 40 minutes to complete, and are performed in our office.
When performing the procedure, a topical anesthetic, local anesthetic, or nerve block may first be administered for your comfort before injecting the filler directly beneath the skin with a very fine needle.
With his artistic eye, precise hands, and understanding heart, Dr. Koch enhances faces and changes lives.
After the procedure, some patients may experience redness or swelling at the injection site which can last for a few days. Work and other normal activities, however, can be resumed right after treatment. JUVÉDERM and RADIESSE are safe and effective injectables that can be used for all skin types and colors.
Dr. Koch can discuss all of your options during your comprehensive consultation. Men and women interested in dermal fillers are encouraged to request a consultation online or call our office at 515-277-5555 to schedule an appointment.
