What Are the Different Types of JUVÉDERM Fillers?

JUVÉDERM is an injectable filler that can improve the appearance of deep facial wrinkles, folds, lines, and acne scars, enhance the lips, and contour facial features like the chin and cheeks. JUVÉDERM is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in all species which is highly attracted to water and has the ability to bind to it. The results are very natural and long‐lasting, with the effect remaining for 6 months or longer.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC contains hyaluronic acid like the other products, but it is thicker and designed to give a lifted appearance to the cheek area. VOLUMA XC is the only filler approved by the FDA specifically to restore age‐related volume loss in the mid‐face. The gel is injected deeper than other fillers and is clinically proven to provide results that last up to 2 years when performed by an experienced injector. VOLUMA XC is pre‐mixed with a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort during the procedure.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC is a soft, pliable hyaluronic acid filler that is specifically formulated for lip enhancement. We use this versatile product to:

• Plump up and sculpt the lips
• Lift downturned corners of the mouth

Dermal Filler Procedures

To begin your injectable procedure, your doctor will consult with you to ensure that you will achieve the natural-looking results you want. Depending on the areas being treated, dermal filler injections typically take 15 to 40 minutes to complete and are performed in our office.

When performing the procedure, a topical anesthetic, local anesthetic, or nerve block may first be administered for your comfort before injecting the filler directly beneath the skin with a very fine needle.

Recovery

After the procedure, some patients may experience redness or swelling at the injection site, which can last for a few days. Work and other normal activities, however, can be resumed right after treatment. All JUVÉDERM and RHA Collection fillers are safe and effective injectables that can be used for all skin types and colors.
