About IPL
Intense Pulsed Light – also called photorejuvenation or photofacial – is a treatment that can be used for hair removal and to treat:
If your skin has been discolored as a result of smoking, alcohol use, or hormonal changes, an IPL photofacial can smooth and refine your complexion. However, certain factors, including dark or deeply tanned skin, may make certain people ineligible for IPL. In consultation with Dr. Koch or one of our certified clinical aestheticians, patients will be able to determine whether they are good candidates for photorejuvenation.
IPL Procedures
A photofacial is a 30-minute procedure in which intense pulses of light are used to penetrate deep into the skin. IPL photorejuvenation then causes collagen and blood vessels below the epidermis to constrict, reducing redness and age lines. The procedure involves only minimal discomfort, comparable to a rubber band being snapped against the skin.

Recovery
Some women and men experience redness and swelling after treatment, which disappears shortly. You should be able to return to your normal daily activities following treatment. Most benefits of a photofacial occur gradually in the weeks following treatment.

Women and men who proceed with the procedure at the time of consultation will have their consultation fee applied toward their procedure.
