Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion is the removal of the outer layers of the skin with a high-speed rotary sanding wheel. Anesthesia is usually a topical cream or injection. Dermabrasion is particularly effective for treating creases around the mouth and for acne scars with sharp edges that cast shadows. Unlike chemical peel or laser resurfacing, it cannot be used around the eyes.
