Make Us Your BOTOX Provider
Here are just a few of the many reasons people in Iowa choose us for BOTOX treatments:
- Expertise: Our BOTOX treatments are performed by or under the supervision of board-certified surgeons who specialize in facial cosmetic surgery and understand facial anatomy.
- Experience: We are one of the largest providers of BOTOX treatments in the state of Iowa.
- Results: Our BOTOX patients look naturally refreshed. Just look through our photo gallery to see for yourself.
- Options: While we specialize in BOTOX, our practice is dedicated to both surgical and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures for the face.
How It Works
BOTOX is used to treat wrinkles that are caused by the contractions of facial muscles, which is different from the way dermal fillers restore volume within the skin to fill out wrinkles and folds. When a small amount of BOTOX is injected into facial muscles, it temporarily suspends their ability to contract and crease the skin. Over time, the wrinkles, creases, and furrows of the face fade away.
Our BOTOX Cosmetic patients typically desire a subtle yet noticeable improvement in their look but don't feel that surgery is necessary. This treatment is commonly used to:
- Soften the vertical creases between the eyebrows
- Smooth deep forehead wrinkles
- Diminish crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes
Other areas that may respond to BOTOX Cosmetic include wrinkles around the mouth and nose, as well as the neck.
“I have always been curious about Botox but a little apprehensive to try it.
However, the experience I had at Koch made me completely change my mind. Pam did a fantastic job of explaining the procedure and making me feel comfortable. I cannot express how happy I am with my results and would recommend Koch to my friends. I will definitely be returning there for further treatments.”

Your BOTOX Treatment
BOTOX treatments consist of a simple series of injections performed using a very fine needle. Although most patients do not experience discomfort, if you are concerned, we can numb the areas with ice or anesthetic cream. The procedure usually takes just minutes to complete.
Your specific facial anatomy and the location of lines and wrinkles determine the exact injection sites for your treatment. Typically, treatment for crow's feet includes 3 injection locations. Treating glabellar lines ("worry lines") usually includes 5 separate injection sites just above and between the brow. BOTOX treatments are based on the number of units injected in each area. Here are the typical number of units for common treatment areas:
- Forehead lines: 5 to 25 units
- Glabellar lines: 20 to 25 units
- Crow's feet: 5 to 15 units (each side)

The BOTOX procedure typically requires little or no downtime, and patients are usually able to immediately resume their normal activities. We do recommend that you avoid putting pressure on treated areas for the remainder of the day.
